So the new round is under way and just as we all expected the challenge is a public endurance based competition. It’s also mentioned that this will be the last round before jury starts (exciting). I have every intentions of giving this challenge my all (it’s All Stars 3 and I deserve to be in that jury). I also want to make sure that the people I like and want to go far get to be in that jury as well. So I wake up (it’s Saturday for me) luckily enough for me the endurance has fallen on a weekend for me which means I have the ability go as long as I wish to go (or until i screw up). I start at ten in the morning and by the time I’ve wrote this blog post I’ve already been posting for at least five hours (the current lead). In between posting I’ve been watching big brother, chatting all the usual up until now when something really triggers me while I’m talking to Arlie.

First off I just want to say that I’ve already been starting to feeling iffy with Arlie. When he asked me a while back to create an alliance with him and Howie I actually felt really good about it. However, since then he’s completely shut me off and become really difficult to talk to. He hasn’t told me who he wasn’t voting the last couple rounds and has generally been standoff-ish. What use is an alliance if you can’t talk about the game to each other? It’s as if he was like okay cool now that I’ve got a deal with Cody I can focus on everyone else I'm good. That’s not how I work.. If you ask me to work with you and you’re open with me, you’ve got yourself a solid alliance member in me.

So anyways back to the conversation that has me really irritated. I initiated a conversation with Arlie, just generic talk mentioning that I’ve started the challenge, going to keep at it up as long as I can so I can win HoH, keep us safe etc. In which he proceeds to basically say that he won’t be trying to win this HoH comp (oh wow thanks for helping ensure my safety). Then he also goes on to state that anyone that does well in this challenge has “no life” and is “kinda pathetic”. I was honestly disgusted. Sure say I’m over reacting, but I’m sorry what gives you the fucking right to judge anyone else.

Sure Endurance can be completely situational, some people might just not be able to put in enough time to get a win (that’s one thing). But there are also a lot of people who have the time (who don’t try) or people that don’t have time (but still try work through it). Either way the person who ultimately wins has devoted their time and put in a hell of a lot of effort/dedication to this game and to call someone pathetic for trying and striving for something they want is despicable. There was a time in my life where something as “stupid” as an online reality game was the one thing I looked forward to. It was a distraction, where I could challenge myself, meet new people and talk to them without fear of judgement. Am I pathetic for wanting to show that I care about giving my all in a game I’ve committed to and that a whole lot of people have dedicated their own time into to creating and trying to make the best experience for everyone… At the end of the day don’t you dare call someone pathetic when you know jack shit about their life and what this could mean to them. I will honestly try that much harder to win this endurance just so I can put his ass on the block and call him pathetic for his lack of respect, as far as I’m concerned he doesn’t deserve to be on the jury and I will do everything in my ability to make sure he leave this round. I don’t care if he’s not the biggest threat as far as I’m concerned I’d rather lose to a bigger threat that is giving it their all than to someone that says shit like that.

So I had a really good plan (at least I thought), I had started to let a few of my closer allies know about the me/Arlie/Howie alliance and let them know I feel really awkward in it and it’s a complete flop a round prior to this HoH. Then during this HoH I made it clear that I was going to try my best to win and I let people that I would keep them safe by giving my word (and from the effort I put in I think people can see I was definitely trying). I also told them who my target would have been (Arlie). That way if I had won HoH, I would have been able to put Arlie/Ika up next to each other and ideally send him out the door. It would have been perfect that way most people would have already heard it directly from me about the deal I’d made with him and the justifications I have for getting rid of him before he probably would explode and let everyone know about it. It also would have been a whole safer to have it leak during the fact that I was HoH as I’m immune. Also, if it was leaked and he’s on the block and goes then going into the next round people shouldn’t really worry because they had found out about it prior and one of the members is gone (also if he was bitter it wouldn’t matter because he’d have been on the jury)… However, that all went down the drain when I missed the post so fuck my life. Even though I’m not necessarily worried about going up or being evicted this round with who will win HoH. I now have the problem that I’ve told most of these people who I intended to target and that’s definitely going to get back to Arlie one way or another. The only positive I have is that I told people before they asked me directly and that at least will show that clearly I’m not confident in the alliance and if they trust that hopefully they won't target me specifically for it.

So Erika won Head of Household and between her and Ika, she was definitely the preferable winner especially considering I had just been considering putting up Ika and I’ve heard from other people that she thinks I’m a threat. So the only problem with Erika winning is the potential that she will nominate people I’m close to and I’ll be forced to reveal my hand. As soon as she wins I’m obviously very congratulatory to her and ask who she will put up considering the high/low twist (which low key I told everyone would be the twist if the box was opened). She goes on to say Natalie (which I expect) but also Kelsey (which is kind of a shock to me) she also goes on to suggest a Porsche backdoor (while not entirely telling me, it was strongly insinuated as a possibility). She also never once told me that she would put up Jun if the veto was used (which you think she would have)...

I decide to use this moment to solidify an alliance with Porsche/Kelsey considering the one with Arlie/Howie is definitely dead. I’ve been working on them both for a while now and providing them with the information that Kelsey is going up with Porsche as the intended backdoor which they don’t expect will hopefully override the shadiness of me being in another alliance with Howie/Arlie (which I’ve told them both about). They immediately seem to believe me (which is good) and they don’t run and dob me into Erika (which is also good). Now all that was left was to just try get picked for veto and see if what I told them eventuates (because if it does they’ll like be very thankful they knew ahead of time). I approach Erika to pick me for the veto and say that I will use the veto in her favour if she picks me. She picks me which is honestly great. The veto is a posting comp and I basically do intend to try and win but if I don’t that’s also good. My theory is just to try anyways so no one expects me of throwing, but if I lose I don’t have to be sad about it either cause I don’t really think I need the immunity with Erika as HoH. At the end of the day I didn’t win but I definitely didn’t look like I threw it, clearly I just fell a few times (this is an easy challenge to get away with if you were to throw). Kelsey won which is perfect which means Erika can’t go ahead with her plan of putting Kelsey/Porsche up against each other. Also Erika goes onto nominate Porsche which makes me look even better by letting her know way ahead of time. At this point I’m just thinking how many votes will we have to keep Porsche in the chance she goes against Natalie but before I could even think about that Kelsey pulled out that diamond power of veto that she got from Pandora’s Box and played it on Porsche and places Jun on the block against her. Honestly this round couldn’t have gone more perfectly?

Someone I trust won Head of Household. Another division was created in Erika (and assumingly Jackie) going against Porsche/Kelsey. I looked like I tried to win both HoH/Veto and people know my clear targets are Arlie and Ika (who’s chances of winning aren’t very high). I also developed a stronger alliance with Kelsey/Porsche without having to pick a side by using the veto or voting between Porsche/Natalie. At this point I feel like as long as I’m friendly with the majority of the house and am straight up (when asked directly about things) I could see myself going a long way. People always know who my targets are and I kind of fall in the middle as a number they think could possibly have.

When it came to the final vote between Jun/Natalie I kind of wouldn’t have minded which goes in all honestly. Natalie I do see as someone who could slide under the radar (similarly to me) so she’s kind of dangerous because I kind of want to be hiding myself amongst bigger threats. However, it’s obviously good to evict a strong competitor and now that she’s gone it’s one less competitor I have to deal with. I tried to let Jun know that I wasn’t completely opposed to the idea without actually committing to keeping her. By doing so I was able to find out who was against Natalie and therefore in a way against Porsche/Kelsey. Specifically Arlie and Jackie set themselves up by letting it be known they’d evict Natalie and now assumingly going forward the Porsche/Kelsey/Natalie side will not hesitate to put them up. At the end of the day I vote Jun and she goes home.
