This week couldn't really be going any better for me! Pre and Post Howie scandal. Haha that he decided to grumble and change everything up! Obviously, it's not his fault but it's still pretty funny that by speaking up he got himself kicked out of his safe clique.
I am happy to be in Porsche's clique because I was 100% going to be putting her in mine... but the rest of the clique is kinda meh for me. I don't think I was in clear and present danger of Howie (now Nat), Michael or Jackie putting me up. But, it could be worse. I'll get to Jackie in a minute but I feel pretty good about Nat/Michael at least for the early stages of the game.
We have definitely been talking more since she won HOH and she did ask for my opinion on her noms... but then didn't take my advice lol. Awkward. I guess last night pre-Howie scandal she was going to be putting Cody & Nat up but now she obviously can't put up Nat. I jokingly said it would be funny if she put up Howie, and I hear I'm not the only one (see Basic Becky). That would be pretty hilarious. I did try to steer her back toward Cody actually and to Ika. But she said nah to Ika since she's a winner. Which makes me feel good about my standing with her since I'm also a former winner... but I really hope she doesn't share with Ika that I suggested her as a nom. And I'm sure word has already gotten around that she was going to do Cody so she may as well do it now! I guess last night she was putting Cody up since he was her DT but now he's not, Sarah is... and apparently Steve is already putting Sarah up, alongside Zach.
It's funny that I heard about Steve's noms from people other than Steve. And I'm supposedly in a pre-game alliance with him lol. This reminds me of season 14 but I'm just going to chill with him this season and try to chalk it up to Steve being Steve. If someone were going to start targeting my season, though.. Steve can go first please! I know this is Porsche's section but Steve kinda wormed his way into it. I do think it's hilarious that Steve won the first HOH. He probably would have rather skated for a bit. I know I want to.
So, anyway, I am really just hoping Porsche doesn't go after Becky, Jun, Corey or Erika. Kelsey either except she's been kind of absent (okay I know it's only been 1 day) and I'm really bonding more with other people. Speaking of...
Okay I think the Michael novelty is wearing off but I still like him. Maybe it's because I can tell the Shelli novelty has worn off for him lol? It's so funny I don't have that much else to say about him.
I'm really glad she got swapped into my clique lol and she's safe now. I would much rather she didn't get nom'd. It's pretty funny that Porsche was going to put her up and now cannot! I am pretty sure Nat knows about it so that has to be a big concern for Porsche. This is good! I like that we may be having some early game tension between people whose name doesn't rhyme with jelli.
I think we're going to get along this season. We both talked about putting everything from our last season behind us and I am happy to do that.
Famous last words maybe, but I do feel pretty safe this round. I could see Zach/Sarah winning Botb and de-throning Steve. That would guarantee my safety for this round. Even if Porsche gets de-throned, though, I doubt Steve would put me up. You never know but I think that would look pretty bad for him if he back-stabbed me this early.
I think my strategy is going to be to stop giving Porsche information and let other people try to steer her noms lol. Seems like Becky is doing a fine job so I'm going to just get in the back seat and put in my earphones for this round.... and work on improving my Dicevivor skills!
Also re the DT's, Becky seems to have this "square" thing figured out and it's like this fun puzzle where we're trying to figure out who everyone else's DT is (most people have been pretty open about sharing it) and how it's being decided. I was happy with David being my DT because I wanted to put him up if I won HOH anyway, lol. Having Jun is meh since I won't be going after her. Our F2 is really blossoming and I value that way more than whatever points/prize I could end up getting.
