Arlie seems.....odd and I can't quite place what makes me think that. For some reason I thought I remembered him being a bit of an odd-ball his season, but I've actually really liked him in the conversation we did have. Not sure if the opportunity is going to arise for us to work together, and he isn't on my threat radar yet, but i'm curious to see how the relationship goes. We talked about tattoos for like, probably an hour it was a lot (but I still enjoyed it).
Becky is someone who I have been pretty close to for a WHILE now in ORGs. Hard to believe it's been 2 full years since becoming friends. It oftentimes seems like low pressure to play with Becky because #1, we usually work together pretty well when the situation permits it (which it has a lot of the time), and #2 we both have a similar mindset in keeping things game to game and not taking anything too personally if something were to happen. Becky is a super strong player and I feel like we're super similar in a lot of ways, including being generally well rounded without any one particular strength (although if I had to pick one for her it'd be her strategic senses). I feel like if people don't know her, they're going to sleep on her.
I haven't talked to Cody all that much, but like Arlie he isn't popping up on my threat radar yet. I remember hi, from RNF13 and we actually played together in secret story, but I was the literal reason he was evicted and it was because of the giant distaste I had for him and his excessive emoji use. I've learned to be a bit less grumpy as far as stuff like that is concerned but at the moment I don't have a particularly strong opinion on Cody either way. Him and Sarah were an F2 in RNF13 and are both from NZ so could be a thing to look out for.
I have never had the opportunity to play with Corey but I'm very excited to. Much rather having him here versus Kalia!!!! I know literally nothing about his performance on his season but I know as a player he is pretty legit. While he, like everyone, has had some bad luck in games, when he does well he seems to do WELL. Winning Si is pretty legit and he's great to talk to (first time we met i was hosting him in Twisted). I would like to try working with him to some capacity but just not sure how the situation would call for it.
I loooooved David in RNF12 when he played as Gerry and I felt bad to see him get eliminated so soon (especially when I won veto that round oops). We seem to get along together well so I'm not too too worried about him trying to take me out early or anything. He DOES seem to have the ability to come across vaguely sketchy to groups of people (for some reason, I don't really see why) which is why I'm not sure if how much we'll be able to work together. Decent in comps, but otherwise not sure what to look out for from a threat perspective.
I unironically enjoy Erika. I'm not sure what it is about her but she's kinda weird but in a fan way. I like talking to her (similarly to the other game we played together. Crucible) but from what I can tell she usually doesn't get a TON of love. Whether that be because of her convo style or because of her time zone idk, but I do feel like it'll help me have a bit of an ace in the hole if I end up needing it. It SEEMS like she likes me too so I'm cautiously optimistic.
My boi Godfrey!!! And Louisse!!!!.....and Howard!! Howard and I go pretty far back to all the way to his first alias game. We played in a lot together since then and it's been plenty of fun. USUALLY the way it works is that we are working together and friendly until....we don't. Like thought I had a pretty solid relationship with Godfrey but he understandably turned on me after the frozen 5 stuff was outed. I do feel like I have a pretty good opportunity to work with him, and as a player he is super underrated in basically every area and that's how he gets you, but recently he hasn't been super active in games so idk if that's going to carry over into this. If not then working with him could def be fun.
I know SO so little about Ika. Like obviously I saw the inside dish stuff and I know OF her, but not like we've talked very much. She brought up something about how we had a dicesurvivor showmance and literally the only thing I remember about dicesurvivor is winning TAR with Kat and getting removed for inactivity in basically every season after that (hence why I stopped). We did talk and I'm kinda worried because we didn't really have much of a convo flow going. She is one of my fellow winners on the cast and seemed to be hugely underestimated until she made the end and won so she obviously has the skillz to play the billz, hence why I'm worried.
I had a COMPLICATED relationship with Jackie in my season lol, to say the least. She IS one of the few reps from my season though!!! So we'll see if that works out for better or for worse. Jackie and I had an alright bond that turned into her wanting an alliance with me and the 3 people I felt closest with in the game (how serendipitous). This was when the Frozen 5 was born.....and then immediately destroyed when Pilar won HoH. I think Jackie must have had her fingers in a few too many cookie jars because she was called out as sketchy and then immediately nominated, and then her alliance (including myself, moreso to go with the flow) cut her and decided they liked Adam more (or well Vanessa and Michael decided that, Aisha was not pleased and I was a little confused but ended up in some trouble after that with my alliance when I accidentally said the wrong thing and made it sound like I was lying to them so I just shut up). ANYWAY, she seems to be a player who plays pretty hard and I'm gonna need to watch out for that especially after she called me out in my FTC for saying I was the nice guy and instead saying i was the "sly" guy. I did talk to her already and we haven't really talked about last season so we'll see what happens.
Jen is a VERY very interesting case for me. I've known Nav since I started playing these; he was my first ever closest ally. We haven't played together in probably 2 years tho and the last few games we were in together didn't go so well. He has tried to destroy friends and I by spreading pre-game stuff in previous all star games, so I could be more surprised if it happened again especially when he doesn't seem to like my like the people I'm associated with very much. I THINK we are on good terms and like I really do like him and wish that the conflict wasn't a thing because he's such a lovely guy, but he almost ENJOYS being problematic so what can ya do. Fairly good all around and with the right people he is very powerful socially. No slouch in challenges or strategically either so definitely need to watch out for the package here, just depends on how serious he is about the game.
To the surprise of no one, Jun is wonderful. Almost surely one of the biggest social threats in the game, and probably a pretty legitimate challenge threat as well. I just don't know too much about her strategic game even after hosting her in Epic. We definitely have fun banter back and forth and it's easy to keep a convo going which will probably be a good sign. She's already extended an offer to work together and saying she's excited to so that's fun!! I feel like my connection to Sarah also probably helps with her because she loooooved Sarah in epic and the feeling was def mutual. But I am excited to work with Jun! She claims she's flopped every RNF as but idk if that'll continue here (not like she exactly flopped either but beside the point).
So while I've never actually PLAYED with Kelsey, I've talked to her quite a bit in the past with a combo of hosting her and her PWing me. As a player, her resume speaks for itself. She's constantly making it far and killing it socially (for the most part). She's always a threat to win and that definitely won't change here. She seems to be the person who has tried to talk to me the most, but I think that's more from her being around and willing to talk to everyone than me exactly being amazing with her or anything. She's savvy and SUPER cut throat, one minute you're her friend and the next you're too big a threat and gotta go. She ended up getting eliminated the round she was voting out the person who felt closest to her (Jen coincidentally enough), so I'm hoping she remembers that and will try and avoid the "threat first friend second" mindset. She probs won't tho, according to Shelli she mentioned that Sarah and I are close out of game so I think she's gonna do whatever necessary to get this win.
It's been REALLY nice seeing Michael again. Because of my new job I've been having trouble staying up as late as I used to which makes it kinda problematic for talking to people like Michael on a completely different timezone, but we've both been still making the effort and he APPEARS ready to jump right back into the relationship we had before. He's can be overbearing but a social killa and he quite obviously is great with challenges. He also proved himself to be simultaneously cut throat and emotional, like how he was willing to get rid of Aisha and I for a better chance to win against Penny and also how he kept arguing with Pilar despite it probably hurting his game. He was already telling me about the people he likes and it was coincidentally pretty much the same as me but I added a few people just to make it so that it didn't seem like I wasn't giving any back. He mentioned Shelli, Kelsey, Jun, Sarah, and Becky. I offered up Natalie myself and said I basically agreed with him otherwise. Not sure if I can trust him like 100% or anything (what am I kidding I know I can't) but for now I def think this should work out. I had him high on my clique pick because he can win challenges and probably would be targeted over me.
Natalie and I go pretty far back as well! We met in Secret Story which was such a lol game and she seemed like a Titan among mortals as far as effort was concerned. It was her first game and we got around together super well, and I feel like that could probably happen here too. She's an extremely chill personality which are very easy for me to get along with. Game wise tho I won't forget how dangerous she is. She's gotten final juror a couple of times in both Survivor and BB games and it's for good reason. She's sneakily good in that people rarely have anything negative to say about her (unless they're psycho which has happened). She is gonna be an important ally to have if we manage to work together this time around (we haven't exactly been mega close in a game recently) so I'm excited to see how everything goes.
It's pretty easy to understand how Porsche won the first time after talking to her. She played a super impressive game in RNF13 never being nominated once or getting any votes cast against her, and she has the ability of getting close to so many people at once and having them all feel like she's their #1. I'm going to try to avoid getting misted, but definitely going to have my work cut out for me given we talked a while last night and it all flowed pretty nicely. Was a lot of talking about how we hope as winners we aren't seen as threats and then stuff about BB and Dan Gheesling. I WANTED to extend an offer to work together with her just to have my ticket in before others (lol) but she ended up ending the convo and didn't really say anything about enjoying talking or wanting to work together so she might have better things to do (she was also tired so that could have contributed). Either way, she can be a SUPER powerful ally to have but just need to keep my guard up.
I feel like I'm probably going to be making a big deal about nothing, especially because we have HARDLY talked about this game at all since we started playing, but I am kinda worried about being paired together and having that hurt her game. I met Sarah in the first game we both ever played and from there everything has blossomed into a BEAUTIFUL friendship where we've talked nearly every day for almost two and a half years. She's fantastic and I feel v fortunate to have that opportunity, although we have had some tricky issues with all star games in the past. She usually becomes a super big figure in a game and sometimes our game plans don't align super neatly, which sometimes results in some awkward situations (one of which involved me voting her out which didn't go v well). I'm HOPING to avoid that this time around but I have literally no idea what to expect for this game tbh. We have hardly talked about the game at all and she has a way of making fast friends and super close allies (some of which are in this game) so there ARE times where I feel like I'm being left behind a bit. Not really her fault at all, but it's going to be weird playing together for the first time in about a year after it seemed to happen so much prior. As a player she is everything you would want in a ORG player and more on basically all fronts. Her only disadvantage is her timezone and having to work, and even that she has proven she can get over. She'll be a force to be reckoned with no matter what, and I'm curious to see if people will see that given while she still did well her season Porsche was more of the dominating figure.
I feel like playing with Shelli is gonna be INTERESTING. Just finished up watching her in Sausage and while we had a nice interview and have seemed to get along together well since, she does seem a BIT erratic. She's clearly a great player given how she won RNF and won sooo many HoHs and still managed to make the end. After Sausage ended and she was listening to the SHAPs that I had done, we began talking about RNF a bit and (while i'm pretty sure she was drunk) we talked about having a secret F2 and working together p closely because no one would have any reason to suspect it. I mean that sounds fantastic to me, but I'm not sure if she intends on KEEPING it and I am admittedly worried she'd find a way to make an alliance not-a-secret after seeing some of what happened in SI lol. She's great to talk to and I'd love to work with her, I just think I'm going to be cautious about it rather than jumping into an f2. What I'm ALSO admittedly worried about is that she's not gonna feel like I'm not reciprocating enough and she'll cut me but I'll need to work on preventing that from happening myself.
I sadly have not gotten the chance to talk to Steve much here. I hosted him when he played twisted and we talked a bunch there and I liked him a lot. He has a DIFFERENT sense of humor and mannerism than a lot of people who play these so it's a refreshing change of pace. I feel like we CAN get along together very well but literally just haven't had the opportunity to. As a player I feel like he has an issue with becoming too closely associated with someone but then him looking like their shadow. While he is very much his own player, I think that hurts him with FTC stuff. He has done very well in RNF as Steve and Matt so I wouldn't be shocked to see him do well again here, and at least I feel like I can have a decent relationship with him.
FINALLY, we have Tiff. She's......interesting. I know very little about her from her season or otherwise and I'm not really sure what to think?? Like the brief periods where we did talk it was nice but nothing like omg amazing. She also said something about how she had no idea I won unanimously and how she should "Listen to me more" and talked about how she didn't have great relationships with anyone from her cast. Not sure where this relationship is gonna go, but I don't THINK it'll be negative???
